Carla Nemiroff has always had a passion
for fashion and an eye for design. While still in school, she began
editing closets for friends and family as a hobby. Over time, she became
known as the friend who could help you whip up a fresh new outfit from
a closet filled with seemingly stale choices, and the friend who would
force you to throw away the ill-fitting fad piece that’s been
collecting dust on the closet floor since 1996.
As requests for her advice expanded beyond her circle of friends, Carla
noticed a real need for a service that helped men and women build wardrobes
that were stress-free AND fashionable. She started Carla’s Closets
to help people cure their closets and simplify their lives.
Years of personal experience coupled with formal training have developed
Carla’s approach. She believes that you can and should achieve
a flattering and stylish look without having a minor heart attack rushing
to get dressed for work or a social event.
Carla believes you can have a versatile and modern wardrobe by building
on your existing pieces and without spending insane amounts of money
chasing after seasonal trends. Her philosophy is this: By adding just
a few key pieces and deleting a few unfortunate choices, you can turn
your closet from a cluttered disappointment to a trove of stylish possibilities.
Based in NYC, and working throughout the North East and LA, Carla consults
for a variety of clients. When not busy editing closets, she is acting
as Stylist for film and television shoots, runway shows, and print campaigns.
She holds a B.A. in Graphic Design from American University in Washington,
DC. She has also studied fashion merchandising at the Fashion Institute
of Technology in New York City. |
